About the NLO
The Norman Lockyer Observatory, Situated at the top of Salcombe Hill, Sidmouth, Devon, is run by a charitable organisation of volunteers dedicated to public science education. Facilities at the site include several telescopes, a planetarium, museum exhibits, a meteorology station (data viewable on the main NLO website), and an HF and VHF amateur radio station (GB2NLO, G0AXC). The Radio Group meets on Tuesdays, 19:00 - 21:00 (visitors welcome). The Astronomy Group meets primarily on Fridays. The Meteorology Group meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.
